Or maybe you’re already on this path, trying to figure out how to live in a world where alcohol is everywhere. But you don’t want it anymore. This blog is here to let you know you’re not alone.

I’m Happy to Welcome You to Young Alcoholic!
Welcome to Young Alcoholic! Read on to learn why I created this blog and how I hope to connect with young people who feel alcohol is having a negative impact in their lives.
Young Alcoholic: A Different Kind of Story
If you’re here, you probably have questions. Maybe about yourself, about drinking, about whether things have gotten bad enough to change. Or maybe you’re already on this path, trying to figure out how to live in a world where alcohol is everywhere. But you don’t want it anymore.
I get it.
I was young when I realized my drinking wasn’t the same as everyone else’s. It wasn’t just “weekend fun” or “letting loose”, it was something I couldn’t control, even when I wanted to. The idea of quitting felt impossible, because drinking was wrapped into everything: friendships, dating, vacations, celebrations. Who would I be without it?
But then I had to ask myself a scarier question: Who was I becoming with it?
That question led me here—to sobriety, to self-discovery, to a life I never thought I’d want but now can’t imagine giving up.
Young Alcoholic is my place to share that journey. It’s about what it’s really like to quit drinking in a culture that expects you to keep going. It’s about the awkward moments, the hard lessons, and the unexpected joys of living life fully present.
This blog isn’t about judgment. It’s not about labels. It’s about honesty. Because if you’re struggling, if you’re questioning, if you’re searching, you deserve a space where those feelings are acknowledged.
Sobriety isn’t just for people who’ve hit rock bottom. It’s for anyone who wants more out of life. And if that’s you, welcome. You’re not alone. You deserve a better life. You deserve to let yourself live!
